Abstract:

We give a status report of the absorption measurement system for characterizing KAGRA mirrors. We did the assembly of a large translation stage to make KAGRA mirrors absorption maps. We solved a calibration issue about the sample thickness. We made LabView software for automatic scan and maps. R&D: we show the good results on crystalline coatings. Future work: make the environment perfect clean; improve the calibration accuracy; add a 1310nm probe laser to measure GaAs samples.
