Abstract:

As a R&D activity for KAGRA, we are working on crystalline coatings to reduce brownian noise. We tested some AlGaAs coated samples at LMA and we are setting an experiment at NAOJ to measure the optical absorption with higher precision, and to make maps of the surface.
