Abstract:
I developed a new detchar tool “GlitchPlot”. This tool visualizes behavior of auxiliary channels around the event time by providing basic plots such as time series, spectrogram, coherencegram, and Q-transform plot. The event selection is done by other tools such as Omicron, cWB, and CBC search. GlitchPlot automatically choose appropriate parameter for each plot from their output information. Visual inspection result can be submitted from voting form and the answers are summarized in a Google spread sheet.

This tool helps visual investigation of strange behavior which cannot be detected by only coherence calculation. It can be applied for commissioning work and also sanity check of event candidate.

In this talk, I will present the method used in GlitchPlot. Application to KAGRA engineering run data will be also presented.
